Drift Genesis mints Friday, July 24th.  and by now you've probably seen the car designs. They're sharp.

But the art is the smallest part of what you're buying into.

What is Drift Derby

Drift Derby is a racing game built on blockchain technology, where players own, train, and race AI Agents and customizable cars instead of just controlling a character in the moment. Developed by Mixed Pixel Studio, it combines competitive racing with real ownership: the agents and vehicles you hold are assets that keep generating value inside the game's economy, whether you're actively playing or not.

Drift Genesis is the entry point to that economy. Each NFT is an AI Agent pilot, a living participant that works whether you're playing or not.

Here's what that actually means.

Your NFT is a driver, not just a car

Every Drift Genesis NFT represents an AI Agent, a pilot that learns from how you play and then races on your behalf. Once trained, your agent doesn't need you at the wheel. It can be entered into tournaments of 40+ players around the clock, earning real token rewards while you're at work, asleep, or unavailable to play. Ownership here isn't cosmetic. It's a stake in an asset that keeps generating value as it races for you.

Passive income and Airdrops, active upside

This is the core utility: you can earn without playing every session yourself. Your agent can race continuously, and skilled players can even train agents for other collectors, turning driving skill into a service you get paid for. If you want to be hands off, your NFT still works for you. If you want to be hands on, there's more upside for doing it well. Not only can you win rewards for entering ongoing AI tournaments and races you will also earn points towards monthly airdrops based on ranked performance and your collection.

The Garage: your NFT is also raw material

Beyond racing, Drift Genesis NFTs plug into a modular garage system. You can collect car NFTs and modification parts, then combine your own pieces to mint a one of one legendary vehicle. That means the collection isn't static. What you hold today becomes an ingredient for something rarer tomorrow, and the combinations you choose become part of your identity in the game.

Drive or Die: NFTs with something on the line

For collectors who want stakes, Drift Derby includes Drive or Die, winner take all 1v1 duels where cars and rare modification parts are wagered directly. This turns your NFT into a competitive asset, not just a collectible. Skill and risk tolerance become part of how value moves through the collection.

Ranked play and ongoing rewards

Beyond duels and tournaments, there's ranked multiplayer for both AI and real players with monthly rewards tied to both your collection and your ranked performance. So the value of holding a Drift Genesis NFT compounds over time through consistent play, not just at mint.

Who's building it

Drift Derby is developed by Mixed Pixel Studio, founded by veterans of Netflix Games, with partners including Somnia, Immutable, Lightning Forge Games, and Merso.io. The team is not just another game developer, Drift Derby is built by professionals with decades of experience in both Web3 and Web2 titles.
